It's safe to say, after reviewing each individual two-part episode, that The Next Generation was pretty hit or miss when it came to expanded television adventures. This week hosts Cam Smith and Tyler Orton wrap up their time aboard the trusty Enterprise-D by offering up their own ranking lists of the series' 10 feature-length efforts. On September 8th, 1966, a strange and decidedly 'out there' hour of television called "The Man Trap" debuted wherein a crew of heroes in bright, colorful uniforms battled a salt-sucking space vampire. Things, as they say, would never be the same again. To commemorate Star Trek's glorious 50th anniversary, hosts Cam Smith and Tyler Orton highlight the franchise's significant impact on our society and culture, as well as the evolution of the fandom that binds so many of us together. Along the way, they also discuss how Roddenberry's brainchild has affected their own lives and where they'd like to see it develop over the next 50 wonderful years.
