#54 - HOLODECK HOOKUPS

While the holodeck doubtlessly has no shortage of critical and invaluable uses, it's hard to ignore the number of times the franchise's creative teams have highlighted its more, um, saucy potential. This week hosts Cam Smith and Tyler Orton attempt to wrap their heads around several of Trek's most infamous examples of holographic lovin', and debate the ramifications and moral quandaries raised by these scenarios. So join us as we examine the finer points of Riker's seductive trombone party with Minuet, Harry Kim's bovine romance and Barclay's infatuation with a certain Goddess of Empathy, among several other classic moments. Oh my!

#53 - STARFLEET VS. SUPER-POWERED BEINGS

If Trek has taught us anything, it's that if you're going to explore the deepest recesses of space, it's only a matter of time until you run into a alien capable of squashing you like a bug. This week hosts Cam Smith and Tyler Orton, along with special guest Scott Hardy, stand in awe before some of the franchise's most supremely powerful creations. From impish immortal tricksters, to unstoppable God-like machines and floating space heads, we check the necessary boxes on a pathway to better understanding those capable of utterly obliterating us all.

#52 - STAR TREK LAS VEGAS CON 2015 MEMORIES

Another summer, another glorious, exhilarating and thoroughly exhausting Creation Las Vegas Star Trek Convention away mission completed! Coming to you from their decadent Rio hotel suite, hosts Cam Smith and Tyler Orton, along with special guest Stefan Estonilo, recount the many spectacular happenings that helped make the four day event so much unbelievable fun. From Patrick Stewart's triumphant appearance, to the latest Shatner vs. Takei dust up, Voyager's 20th reunion and the very emotional Leonard Nimoy memorial, we bid farewell to the con in characteristically irreverent (and sleep-deprived) style.

#51 - CARDASSIANS: TREK'S GREATEST ALIENS?

One of Star Trek's greatest triumphs has always been its penchant for creating complex and authentic alien races, with countless wonderful hours dedicated to well-explored favorites like the Klingons, Romulans, Andorians and Vulcans. But who among them is the franchise's most brilliant creation?
This week hosts Cam Smith and Tyler Orton, inspired by a fantastic TrekNews article by Will Nguyen, place the Cardassians under the microscope in order to determine whether they are indeed the most compelling and well-drawn denizens of the Trek-verse. Over the course of the episode, we examine the key figures, such as Gul Dukat, Gul Madred and Elim Garak, events and characteristics that constitute the rich tapestry of Cardassia, and attempt to forecast where the future may take this articulate, crafty and frequently antagonistic species.
